With nearly 10,000 acres, Bear Brook State Park is the largest developed state park in New Hampshire. The park offers a wide range of recreational opportunities, including fishing, swimming, and boating. Archery Pond is a favorite spot for fly-fishing enthusiasts and is universally accessible. Hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians are welcome on all park trails unless otherwise posted. If archery is your sport, Bear Brook has two public archery ranges, one 15-target range and a four-target practice range that is universally accessible (bring your own archery equipment)..

Driving Directions

I-95: Take the 101 E/W following signs towards 101 W for Manchester. Take exit 3 off of Rte 101 W for NH-43 N / Candia, NH. Continue on NH-43 N, take a left onto South Road travel for 4.4 miles, and take a left on to Middle Road, which then turns into Deerfield Rd, following Middle/Deerfield Rd. for 1.9 mile to get to Podunk Rd. Go an additional 2.2 miles for the Catamount Pond Area.

I-93: From I-93, take exit 11 toward NH-3A/Hooksett Turn left onto Hackett Hill Rd, in 0.3 miles turn left onto W River Rd. In 0.6 mi Sharp right onto Main St. After 0.4 mi Continue onto College Park Dr for .5 mi then turn left onto US-3 N/Hooksett Rd. Travel for 2.5 miles turn right onto RT 28 N, travel for 3.1 miles. Turn right onto Deerfield Rd travel for 1 mile to get to Podunk Rd. Go an additional 2.2 miles for the Catamount Pond Area.

Rte 4 W: Take a left onto RT 43 S. Travel 5.85 miles, turn left onto NH 107 S/ NH-43 S. In 0.7 miles turn right onto Meeting House Hill Road. Follow for one mile, then go straight onto Mt. Delight Rd at the 4 way stop. Follow Mt. Delight until it ends on Deerfield Road, then turn right. Turn left onto Podunk Road in 1.0 mi.

Rt 4 E: Take a right on to RT 28 S Travel 5.7 miles, turn left onto Deerfield Rd. Travel .4 miles to enter Bear Brook State Park
